30대가 되면 진로 고민이 끝날 줄 알았는데, 30대 중반이 다 되어 가는 나이에도 아직도 내가 좋아하는 일, 내가 원하는 것을 몰라 고민을 하던 날들이 있었습니다. 서른다섯이 되던 해, 정말 진지하게 제가 원하는 미래를 고민하다가 디자이너에서 일러스트레이터가 되었고, 남쪽 끝 거제도에서 서울로 이사를 했습니다. 책은 그 과정에서 제가 느낀 것, 제가 준비한 것을 모두 담았습니다. 책에는 과거에서 현재까지 그림 스타일 변화를 한눈에 볼 수 있는 37점의 일러스트와 직업을 바꾸기 전에 스스로에게 했던 문답, 그리고 지금의 생각이 담겨있습니다. 이 외에도 진로를 변경하면서 느꼈던 감정과 준비과정에 대한 이야기, 펜더믹 시대에 프리랜서로 살아가는 지금의 내 삶 이야기가 있습니다.
